Fear is growing for a woman who saw herself thrown into a car five days ago.
She was seen arguing with a man before being forced into a vehicle against her will.
Detectives have been working to track down the mystery woman to find out if she is safe, but have been unable to.
Now they are asking the public for help in the incident that took place on Middleham Road in the Haringey area of London.
Police were called around 3.15pm by a concerned member of the public who saw the couple having a verbal argument on the street.
The woman tried to leave but was violently pushed into a red Fiat Bravo by a “tall” man.
The car exited and headed south towards Tottenham, but officers searching the area could not see a suitable vehicle.
Detective Constable Kiernan Casey said: “The caller described the man and woman speaking to each other in a heated exchange in a foreign language – suggesting both parties are known to each other.
“While that might be the case, we want to know who she is and check if she’s okay.
“If you are the woman described – or think you know who she is – I request that you contact us immediately.”
The woman is described as about 1.70 meters tall and with black hair. She wore a red top, gray pants and white shoes.
The man is described as white, 1.80 m tall, of strong build, with short hair, wearing gray trousers and a dark sweater.
