Liverpool sign Fabio Carvalho after agreeing £7.7m deal with Fulham | Soccer

Liverpool have completed the signing of Fabio Carvalho after agreeing a £7.7million deal with Fulham.
The 19-year-old almost joined Liverpool in the January transfer window but the paperwork involved in the transfer wasn’t completed in time for the deadline.
Carvalho stayed at Fulham for the remainder of the season but Liverpool have now reached an agreement with the west London club whereby they will pay £5million plus a further £2.7million in add-ons.
Liverpool have also included a 20 per cent sell clause in their agreement with Fulham.
Carvalho has been one of Fulham’s standout players in the Championship this season, with 10 goals and eight assists in 36 league games.
A statement from Liverpool read: “Liverpool FC can confirm Fabio Carvalho will join the club this summer.
“The 19-year-old striker will officially join the Reds on July 1.
‘Carvalho played a key role in Fulham’s promotion back to the Premier League in 2021-22, scoring 10 goals and providing eight assists in 36 games as Marco Silva’s side won the league title.
‘He made four appearances for Cottagers in the top flight last season and marked his first Premier League start with an away goal at Southampton in May 2021.
“Carvalho, an exciting talent born in Portugal’s Lisbon region, made his debut for Portugal U21 in March this year, having previously represented England at youth level.
‘Carvalho rose through the academy ranks at Fulham and made 44 senior appearances for the London club.’
