A Liverpool fan’s family have issued an urgent appeal after he disappeared after he disappeared Champions League final in Paris.
Joseph Murphy, 35, was last seen by his brother-in-law at 7pm yesterday at the fan park in the French capital.
The game was overshadowed by the chaotic crowd control of Liverpool fans outside the Stade de France before kick-off.
Shocking footage showed fans being fired and tear gassed by riot police – in what a British force said was the “worst” policing at a European game they had ever seen.
Joseph’s wife Danielle Murphy told the Liverpool Echo he was a “hardworking father to two little boys” and urged him to get in touch.
In a tweet this morning, Joseph’s brother-in-law said they “started to worry” after hearing about the disturbing scenes.
The tweet read: “Any Reds still in Paris…haven’t seen my brother-in-law since 7pm last night. I’m starting to worry about how shitty this place is and how bad the police are.
Joseph lived at 2 rue Mondetour, 94150, not far from the Fanpark.
He is believed to have no phone and was wearing a gray Monterrain top, gray shorts and a black backpack.
Anyone who meets Joseph is urged to get in touch @Fran51131 on twitter.
