Liverpool are set to buy young defender Calvin Ramsey from Aberdeen but he is reportedly going to do so Jurgen Klopp’s last signing of the summer.

Ramsey has been linked with a move to Anfield for some time and The Times are now reporting that a £4m fee has been agreed for the 18-year-old, with a further £2.5m in surcharges.

The Scotland U21 right-back, who will sign a five-year deal with the Reds, will act as an understudy for Trent Alexander Arnold and marks the club’s third signing this summer after taking on Fulham attacking midfielder Fabio Carvalho and Benfica striker Darwin Nunez .

However, the trio will be the only signings at Liverpool this transfer window, with Klopp reportedly more than happy with his current squad, which won last year FA Cup and Carabao Cup and came tantalizingly close to winning the Premier League title and Champions League.

The deal for Nunez, which could rise to a club-record £85m, will likely have consumed the Reds’ entire transfer budget and while Klopp is keen to add another central midfielder to his stacked squad, he’s happy to wait until next summer for a big Sign players instead of buying a makeshift now.

Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham is likely to be at the top of his shortlist, especially after former target Aurelien Tchouaméni has opted for Real Madrid and the England international has already declared he will remain in the Bundesliga for next season.

However, Ramsey’s arrival may not finalize all the deals at Anfield as several high-profile Liverpool players are expected to leave before the end of August.

The club are currently negotiating with Bayern Munich over the sale of Sadio Mane, who expressed a desire to pursue a new challenge at the end of last season.

Takumi Minamino and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are also allowed to leave, while Divock Origi and Loris Karius have already left the exit door after their contracts expired.
