ST. LOUIS — The father of the Berkeley teenager who died in a fall at a Florida amusement park will speak Monday. This is the first time Yarnell Sampson has spoken publicly following his son’s autopsy report.
The autopsy revealed that 14-year-old Tire Sampson died from blunt trauma. He fell from a 70-foot height off a 430-foot ride at ICON Park in March.
The Orlando, Florida coroner ruled the death was an accident. Sampson’s family filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the amusement park and ride manufacturer.
Yarnell will hold a press conference in Florida at 10:30 am CT.
