Lightning strikes as TikToker drives home, damaging cars and property

In a video that went viral, TikToker Chriss (@biggdaddichriss) was touring a home in Georgia when lightning struck the home. “I really liked the house too… but it clearly wasn’t meant to be,” she captioned the video.

The video was posted on July 14 and has now had over 4.4 million views.

“The crazy thing is that I write[ed] My friend said I was ‘not comfortable’ there and started recording the video and then this happened. Definitely a NO,” she said in the comments.

About halfway through the video that Chriss was recording the self tour, a sound resembling a gunshot could be heard. The kitchen light went out and the floor to the carport entrance Chriss had just come through was cracked.

“Lightning literally struck the house…a sign from God?” said the overlay text.

In the comments, some users agree with Chriss that this is a sign to walk while others doubt the authenticity of the video.

“When I ask God for a sign, that’s exactly what I mean,” commented one user.

“I’m an atheist but I would definitely take that as a sign,” said another user.

“I know why, but I feel strong [lying] vibe,” commented a third user.

In a follow-up video, Chriss addresses the many comments from her original video that suggest she was lying about the event.

She explained that it was raining when she toured the house, so she parked in the carport and recorded the video to show her boyfriend around the house.

“It wasn’t firecrackers and it wasn’t a gunshot. It was definitely a flash,” she clarified.

Users in the comments section clapped back at those who believe this is fake.

“Of all the things you could fake for clout, it wouldn’t damage your own car and property they’re looking at. People are crazy,” commented one user.

Chriss also posted video of the lightning strike recorded for her insurance company when her car was hit by debris with the caption, “I need more evidence lol.”
