sending a message? La Nisha Cole seemed to cast shadows Nick cannon after fans asked why she wasn’t featured at the drum line star’s social media lately.
“No need to mention me or send anything to my DMS. It has nothing to do with me… and it doesn’t have to be messy. It’s all love on this journey 🙏🏾 Happy Holidays to you and your family! ❤️❤️❤️❤️,” Cole, 40, wrote on her Instagram Stories on Sunday, December 18. “It’s not easy, but I have to do it for my daughter. She is incredibly blessed and surrounded by so much love – and this isn’t fake IG photo love – it’s real love day in, day out.”
The photographer, who shares 3-month-old daughter Onyx with the 42-year-old rapper, didn’t say the fake snaps in question were of Cannon, but added that “keeping things positive is important to me and to keep my peace in the midst of it all.”
The next day, Cole took her little one to a Santa Claus trip to get in the Christmas spirit with her friend Brian Paul Cuba.
“He’s been great with us all the time. So caring and supportive,” the California native captioned a photo of the artist with Onyx on her Instagram story. Apparently, she further praised Cuba’s presence in a second post, writing, “He’s been there every day since the beginning. Good days and hard days plus everything in between.”
Cole’s remarks come just a few days later Abby de la Rosawho shares twins Zion and Zillion, 12 months, and Beautiful Zeppelin, 1 month contain the Wild N’ Out cohost in several vacation photos.
“Christmas 22 🎄,” she wrote alongside a picture of herself and Cannon dressed in green and holding their three children. De La Rosa, 32, later shared that family photos were taken less than two weeks after their child was born.
“I didn’t want to post everything out of sheer insecurity with my body,” she wrote on her Instagram story at the time. “I am saddened that I had no mercy for myself and allow this to prevent me from sharing my family with all of you. I had 3 children in 23 months. I’m working on being more proud of my body instead of being ashamed.”
Bre Tiesithe son Legendary greeted with the Masked Singer host in June, also gave the father-of-11 a shout-out on Monday, December 19, after a fan messaged her to say they loved how Cannon was “showing up for his kids.”
“THOSE! Nick always shows up!” she replied via her Instagram Story. “Always present, happy, steady, loving parents, an even better person! We love you!”
In addition to his children with Tiesi, 31, De La Rosa and Cole, Cannon shares twins Monroe and Moroccan, 11, with his ex-wife Mariah Careyand 5-year-old Golden, 20-month-old Powerful and 2-month-old Rise Messiah Brittany Bell. He and Alyssa Scott also shared son Zen, who tragically died in December 2021 at the age of 5 months after a battle with brain cancer. The two announced in November that they are expecting baby #2 in November.
During an episode of The check-up with Dr. David Agus Earlier this month, Cannon opened up about the challenges of fatherhood and feeling splayed too thin.
“As a father of several children, my biggest guilt is always not being able to spend enough time with all my children, one because I’m always working and two because I’m just few and far between,” he says.
That All that Alum also got candid about Zen’s loss to cancer and how he and Scott, 29, learned their child was battling the disease.
“And you could imagine thinking you’re taking your son for a check-up for – worst-case scenario, I thought asthma, you know? And to know he was diagnosed with brain cancer was a shock,” he shared, adding that Zen had been diagnosed with high-grade glioma, a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer, and he and Scott were offered the option of chemotherapy as a treatment method.
Cannon explained that the duo wanted their son to have the “best quality of life” and ultimately decided against chemo because he “would never have gone home.”
“Thankfully we did everything from sunrise to going to the beach to sunset, we said some nice prayers as a family and really came together as a family in a very beautiful way,” he said of his son’s final days. “I’m grateful for that, but it was definitely tough. Seeing your kid there, suffering at some point and watching things slow down was quite intense.”
