Lady Gaga’s dog thief is now set to sue her

TMZ reports that Jennifer McBride, the woman accused of aiding and abetting the theft of Lady Gaga’s French bulldogs, is now suing the singer. McBride claims Gaga never paid the $500,000 she promised to have her dogs returned.
Now McBride is asking the court to require Gaga to pay $1.5 million – triple the original reward. McBride claims to have returned the dogs to the LAPD Olympic Community Station on February 26, two days after the dogs were stolen, but was subsequently accused of receiving stolen property and being an accessory to theft.
Meanwhile, LA County Assistant District Attorney Michele Hanisee told the publication that McBride knew the dogs were stolen and was attempting to collect the reward.
Two of Gaga’s dogs were stolen on February 24, 2021 when TMZ reported while Gaga was filming overseas in Italy House of Gucci. Their dogs, Koji and Gustav, were stolen at gunpoint by their dog walker, Ryan Fischer. A group of men pulled up in a car, jumped out, stole the two dogs and shot Fischer dead in the process.
At the time of the theft, McBride was reportedly dating the father of one of the men who stole the dogs. She was later sentenced to two years probation after failing to contest a case involving the receipt of stolen property.
