Today Clouded Leopard Entertainment released an English trailer of The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki, but it’s not what you might think.
Clouded Leopard Entertainment is licensed to localize the latest games in the popular Trails series for the Asian market in Traditional Chinese and Korean, but not in English.
Therefore, they will release the PS5 and Steam version of the game on July 28th, 2022, the day and date of the Japanese release, but only in the languages mentioned above.
The English localization, which is likely to come from NIS America, hasn’t even been announced yet, although this game was originally released for PS4 in Japan in September 2021.
The publisher plans to localize The Legend of Heroes Trails From Zero (coming September 27th), The Legend of Heroes Trails to Azure, The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails and The Legend of Heroes: Trails Into Reverie for PS4, Switch , and PC until 2023, which means that the perspective of playing Kuro no Kiseki in English is unfortunately quite far in the future.
Meanwhile, Japan is already getting The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II – Crimson Sin this fall, while the West shows no signs of even remotely catching up.
You can check out the trailer below for a gruesome foretaste of what we most likely won’t be playing in English for a long time.
