Klay Thompson counted his rings on the Grizzlies bench
Tension is high between the Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies. The most recent example of this came on Saturday night, when the defending champion went to Memphis and, because it was an NBA game that took place somewhere other than San Francisco during the 2022-23 season, lost. The Grizzlies opened up a double-digit lead in the first quarter and kept the Warriors at bay all game long on their way to a 113-119 win.
Unsurprisingly, the game was bumpy, and by the end, Klay Thompson felt the need to send a message to the Memphis bank. As Grizzlies players…let’s say, voiced their thoughts on the night in front of Golden State Bank, Thompson responded by simply counting his four championship rings on his fingers.
Dillon Brooks, a frequent inciter in tensions between the Grizzlies and the Warriors, had a very subtle message for Thompson.

Things have been particularly chilly between the two teams lately, even aside from the fact that they met last year in an emotionally charged playoff series that Golden State ended up winning. Over the past few weeks, Brooks and Draymond Green have engaged in some back-and-forth that has played out both in the media and on the basketball court.
