Kayla Montgomery, stepmother of missing NH girl, arrested on perjury charges – Boston News, Weather, Sports

The stepmother of missing 7-year-old Harmony Montgomery has been arrested on perjury charges, according to the New Hampshire Department of Justice.

Kayla Montgomery, 31, of Manchester, was previously charged with theft by deception in March, in a case allegedly unrelated to Harmony’s disappearance, and was arrested in April for gun possession.

Harmony Montgomery has been missing since 2019. According to authorities, Harmony is believed to have disappeared between November and December this year, although it was not brought to police attention until 2021.

In September 2021, an affected party alerted police that she had not seen Harmony in a long time, and officers were later able to confirm that her name did not appear in school registry systems.

Further information was not readily made available.
