Kail Lowry wasn’t happy with the way their co-parenting situation was portrayed in this week’s Teen Mom 2, and she shared a powerful message aimed at her baby dad, Chris Lopez.
During the March 15 episode of Teen Mom 2 Briana DeJesus met Chris in Philadelphia to record an episode of his podcast.
Before they began recording, Chris spoke briefly with Briana about his co-parenting relationship with Kail. Chris and Kail share two sons, Lux, 4, and Creed, 1.
Chris told Briana that his visitation arrangement with Kail was “dumb” to him and that he didn’t understand why he couldn’t hang out with his sons like Kail’s other two baby dads – Jo Rivera and Javi Marroquin – do, and implied that he did only got to see Lux and Creed when he and Kail were “good”.

Two days after the episode aired, Kail took to Instagram, where she shared a message to her followers on both her Stories and Feed addressing the way their co-parenting situation was portrayed.
“I wanted to address the way my co-parenting situation was presented this week as I don’t think that paints the full picture,” Kail began her message.
Kail explained that there are two sides to the story in any co-parenting scenario, acknowledging that perceptions of her and Chris will be different. She also explained how Chris’ fatherhood differs from Jo and Javi’s.
“But there are extenuating circumstances affecting Chris that weren’t present with Javi or Jo,” Kail continued. “Just because it wasn’t easy with Chris doesn’t mean my character and feelings have changed when it comes to my kids’ relationship with their father.”
Kail noted the importance of her sons spending time with their mom and dad before addressing Chris’ “limitations.”
“If things were as easy and straightforward as he thinks he would have been given more time,” Kail continued, noting that ultimately a judge made the visiting decision, not herself.
Kail says Chris spent time with Lux and Creed to take advantage of them
According to Kail, Chris only saw Lux and Creed when he wanted something from her and went weeks without checking in with them until a judge got involved. “The boys only have two parents and if he falls short I have to bridge the gap and fill in the gaps emotionally, physically and financially,” Kail wrote.
Kail ended her message by pointing out that Chris used the term “she” when discussing the dish.
“If Chris keeps talking about ‘they’ – who are they? You are the judge,” shared Kail. “The court made that judgment. I showed up just like him. i am not her i am her i am kail I don’t have the power to make the decision that has been made.”
Last summer, Teen Mom 2 viewers watched as Kail fought to accept Chris’ custody petition. Chris asked for time with Lux and Creed for the whole summer, however Kail “couldn’t” justify his request.
In September 2021, during an episode of her podcast Baby Mamas No Drama, Kail revealed she already had it Spent a whopping $80,000 Court fees amid her and Chris’ custody battle.
Teen Mom 2 airs Tuesday nights at 8:7c on MTV.
