Just Stop Oil protesters stop woman from taking baby to hospital | British News

A group of angry mothers confronted Just Stop Oil protesters who were disrupting traffic.
A frustrated mother got out of her car on the Westway in Acton, west London, claiming her baby had to go to hospital.
She called out to one of the eco-protesters: “I have a baby in my car and we need to go to the hospital.”
Despite their pleas, the protesters refused to let them through.
A second mother joined in the criticism, saying, “Who are you that decides who gets to go?” You’re not kidding God.
“People pay to drive on these roads. ‘Don’t tell me you’ve never gotten in a damn car.’
Just Stop Oil claims there are 160 protesters on the streets today.
A group of counter-demonstrators tried to prevent the disruption to commuter traffic yesterday.
Social media stars Josh Pieters and Archie Manners joined a group surrounding the eco-protesters.
They were seen surrounding the protesters, holding hands and forcing them to remain seated in the street at Elephant and Castle, south London.
The counter-protest group’s T-shirts read, “Just Sop P***ing Everyone Off.”
Witnesses said the eco-protesters were driven off the road after the group circled them and wrapped their arms around their slow march aimed at bringing traffic to a standstill.
Around a dozen people helped break up the protest before police even got there.
Some members of Just Stop Oil tried to start a debate, but Archie, 30, replied: “This time next year is the election.” If you don’t like this government, why not stand for election?
“You’re welcome to leave anytime.
“We just don’t want you to piss people off.”
Public disenchantment with the group, which has vowed to ‘paralyze’ London with slow marching columns to force the government to scrap new domestic oil and gas licences, is beginning to boil over into violence.
21-year-old climate activist Daniel Knorr was knocked to the ground by an angry motorist who blamed one of the slow-moving protests for his car colliding with his pregnant partner.
And earlier this week, another motorist got out to demonstrate against JSO activists who were blocking traffic in Westminster.
It was filmed how he pushed her off the street and pulled one away by his safety vest.
JSO has protested at big summer events like the Proms, Wimbledon, the Ashes and the Chelsea Flower Show.
