Joe Biden calls for a three-month suspension of gas and diesel taxes
President Joe Biden has called for a three-month suspension of federal gasoline and diesel taxes to bring down prices at the pump for Americans.
Speaking from the White House on Wednesday afternoon, Biden asked Congress to approve a 90-day tax holiday for gas and diesel “during the busy summer season, the busy travel season.”
Biden also urged states to either suspend their state gas taxes, which average about 30 cents, or “find a way to provide relief.”
