Job Hunter shares the hack to get an interview with the hiring manager

A job hunter went viral on TikTok after sharing her hack for when she doesn’t get a response from a hiring manager.

TikToker @vioticcc posted a 5 second video of her dancing in her car. The text overlay read, “I’ll call the job you’re looking for and say I got a missed call from this number regarding an application I filled out.”

On Monday, the video reached 1.3 million views.

Viewers had a mixed reaction to the unconventional job hunt hack. But some said they had already tried it and had varying degrees of success.

“I tried that out when she said, ‘um, no, we only call on wednesdays for applications,'” commented one viewer.

“I was doing this at bath and body work and the manager said ‘nobody called you’ I was gagged,” wrote another.

“I called them and said I spoke to a gentleman about arranging an interview and was told to call today and get a job now,” shared a third.

Some viewers said they even went to the place they wanted to work and pretended to have an interview scheduled — and got the interview they wanted.

“I walk in and say there was an interview scheduled for today and then the managers act like they know so they don’t look disorganized,” said one user.

Several users wanted to know if the hack works for the TikToker itself and they confirmed in a comment that “yup”, it worked.
