Jenna Ortega & ‘Wednesday’ Co-Star Fred Armisen on ‘SNL’

Jenna Ortega recently played with her Wednesday Persona alongside Aubrey Plaza at the SAG Awards, but very little of that vibe was on display for her SNL Monologue. And fortunately the Wednesday The dance took place during a promo, so there was a bit of a respite here too.
Instead, we got a much peppy and likable Ortega, who admits that the last few years (not just with Wednesday but also Scream, You and more) has led her down a much darker path than in real life. “I think there’s something on my face,” Ortega joked. “[T]When people see that and say, “Hey, let’s splatter blood on this.”
In addition, Ortega acknowledged her status as the youngest SNL Hostess of the season at age 20. She took a stroll through the memories of her early career before nodding to a Wednesday co-star in this audience. That would be Fred Armisen, who luckily wasn’t in the Uncle Fester costume but chose to pretend he’d never been on that one SNL stage so far. That’s when Ortega turned into a fan for all to see (pointing at her favorite SNL Sketch, The Californians) and it was all very charming.
Jenna Ortega can currently be seen dodging Ghostface in Scream VI.
