Jack White congratulates Metallica on purchasing a vinyl machine

Metallica has reached another incredible career milestone. Earlier this week, the acquired band bought a majority stake in Furnace Record Pressing with the intention of better serving vinyl connoisseurs.
Furnace Record Pressing, which operates in Alexandria, VA, spans 70,000 square feet and offers standard and heavy pressing, color vinyl, color vinyl with special effects, and custom vinyl etch.
Following news of Metallica’s acquisition of Furnace, Jack White, owner of Nashville-based Third Man Records, took to Instagram to send a special shout-out to the band.
“Congratulations to the Metallica boys on their purchase of their own record pressing line!!!” White wrote. “Metallica announced today that they have purchased the Furnace record pressing plant in Virginia! Welcome to the cause, gentlemen! And thank you for putting your money to amazing creative causes! “We hope that the big labels will also see this as further proof and finally start investing in themselves.”
In the comments, Metallica White wrote back and thanked him for his support.
“So incredible and grateful to be able to do this after all these years,” they said. “Who would have thought back then that this was even possible?! You have pioneered all of this and we look forward to following in your footsteps!”
