It’s playoff time for fantasy football and that means injuries play a bigger role. With that in mind, the 49ers are currently plagued by injury errors. Elijah Mitchell have spent some time reporting injuries throughout this season and this week was no exception.
Is Mitchell ready for the Week 15 game against the Falcons? If not, is Jeff Wilson Jr. Feasibility? How about JaMycal Hasty? What should we do Deebo Samuelincreased role urgently? Please answer all of these questions this weekend.
To be Elijah Mitchell Play in week 15 against the Falcons?
Elijah Mitchell missed the competition last week with a concussion and knee injury. However, he appears to be on track for Week 15 against the Atlanta Falcons, and has a chance to play:

Of course, working on the sidelines isn’t a full-fledged exercise, but since it’s only Thursday it’s an encouraging sign. Concussion seems to be the biggest obstacle to his willingness to move forward. That means Mitchell will need to chain several practices together without any symptoms.
Pure speculation would have helped Mitchell deal with it in time but this could be a really 50-50 situation. Be sure to check back for more trauma updates on Mitchell’s condition.
I should start Jeff Wilson Jr. or JaMycal Hasty?
For now, it looks like Mitchell may be ready by the end of the week, in which case Mitchell will get the majority of operations back. That said, if he misses this game, Jeff Wilson Jr will replace him back into the lead. Last week, with Mitchell, Wilson saw 13 executions in 56 yards. Meanwhile, JaMycal Hasty will get a hit as Wilson doesn’t see a single target while Hasty sees three of them.
However, the two running backwards should be worried about Deebo Samuel. Last week, Samuel made eight runs for 37 yards and a touchdown, with one goal for a reception and 22 yards. His rush usage spiked every time Mitchell missed a game that brought everyone down, including Samuel’s.
Again, if Mitchell is ready for this game there’s no reason why he shouldn’t get a full load of work. That would be the best case scenario, leaving Jeff Wilson Jr. and JaMycal Hasty are essentially unrelated while Deebo Samuel will move back to the recipient position. In this scenario, Mitchell would be a solid RB2 while Deebo Samuel would be a WR1.
However, if Mitchell misses the Week 15 game, Jeff Wilson will become a low-level RB2 with serious ceiling concerns. Hasty will be a flexible emergency PPR option for teams that have been thinned out by the COVID outbreak or other injuries.
