iPhone 14 Pro owners are discovering more issues in Apple’s latest flagship

In short: Bugs in new phones have become a common problem for consumers. The iPhone 14 Pro appears to be suffering from a few of these, the latest of which include random reboots and cellular connection issues.

Apple’s $999 handset (starting price) arrived earlier this month alongside the iPhone 14 Pro Max and the standard iPhone 14. But not all buyers are happy with their purchase. Some editors have reported that the device will randomly reboot approximately every 10 minutes while charging.

Several other users write that they face the same issues both in iOS 16.0.1 and 16.0.2 while using wireless and wired charging solutions. Some say they encountered the same issue on their iPhone 14 Pro Max devices as well.

One comment says Apple Support suggested doing a full restore from backup using DFU or Recovery Mode, disabling optimized loading and uninstalling the Eufy app, none of which worked. However, the author writes that disabling background app refresh fixed the problem.

This isn’t the only iPhone 14 Pro issue that has been spotted. Some Verizon customers say they have poor 5G cellular connections and calls are dropping randomly. Verizon’s coverage isn’t to blame here, as some sufferers say they know people in their area with the same plan who haven’t experienced similar issues on other devices.

At least 100 people have reported slow 5G speeds with the iPhone 14 Pro on the Verizon network. As with the charging problem, it is unclear exactly how many people are affected. If you’re one of them, it would be best to return the handset for a working replacement.

Earlier this month, some iPhone 14 Pro users found that using the camera with third-party apps caused the camera module to shake so violently that it made a buzzing or rattling noise. There were also some disgusting photos and videos. Apple fixed the tremor with the iOS 16.0.2 update, but it seems Cupertino still has a few things to fix in the iPhone 14 Pro via future updates.
