The next batch of iPhones may not come all at once, according to veteran insiders.
Apple usually releases the fully updated line-up at the same time in September, but reported delivery issues for some parts could result in different dates for the iPhone 14.
And it has everything to do with the rumored iPhone 14 Max.
“iPhone 14 Max panel shipments have always been behind,” said Ross Young, a recent display industry insider tweeted.
“Not sure why.
“Maybe they have modest volume targets for this one.”
We could see as many as four versions of the iPhone by the end of the year.
Similar to the current pattern, that would mean iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Of course, Apple’s plans are very secret – we don’t even know if they will call it iPhone 14 at this point.
So we’ll have to wait until the time gets closer for any official information on what’s coming next.
Earlier we have the company’s annual developer conference, Apple WWDC.
There we may get a hint of the future, especially when rumored big changes to iOS are revealed.
Apple should also finally remove the “notch” on the top of the iPhone – and thus offer a full-screen front for the first time.
It’s part of a rumored iPhone overhaul that will make it look drastically different than the 2021 model.
