With the holidays slowly approaching, most people want their Christmas items as soon as possible. Since most places are crowded, people use different apps to get their things delivered, the most popular being Instacart. In a viral TikTok, an Instacart shopper chronicles her spree at Lowe’s for Christmas items, including a mini Christmas tree.
The video begins with buyer Jessica Higgs (@jessicahiggs3) in her car.
“Well, I just got an order for Lowe’s. Not Lowe’s food. Lowe’s Home Improvement,” says Higgs, moving her camera to reveal the Lowe’s building.
Higgs states that she “don’t know where to look at Lowe’s,” but the order was “$44, three miles, and five items,” so she says she accepted it. Then Higgs begins her adventure through Lowe’s, taking her 201,000 followers with her.
The camera switches to Higgs entering Lowe’s and going in search of the Christmas items. She takes a command hook and a lightbulb. After a scavenger hunt, she discovers the other items she was looking for: a wreath, a four-foot-tall Christmas tree, and batteries. She ends the video by explaining how the order was broken down: Instacart paid her $7 for the order, which was three miles away, and she got a $36 tip.

During an email interview with The Daily Dot, Higgs shared how this took place in Dalton, Georgia at Lowe’s Home Improvement. Though she worked for the grocery delivery app for five years, she said batches without groceries were “rare.” According to Higgs, this order took half an hour to complete.
The video was viewed over 543,000 times as of Saturday, with many viewers praising Higgs and other Instacart shoppers.
“As the chronically ill – you are doing the work of the Lord! Some days we just can’t walk through the store or deal with the neon lights or visit people – and you save us the guilt of not getting things done,” shared one viewer.
“As someone with 5 kids who cries when I have to go shopping with them… thanks!” a second praised.
“This person is 100% in their pajamas, in the Christmas spirit, and wants nothing to do with the outside world today. You are her hero,” wrote a third.
“Girls, I have EVERYTHING instacart. container warehouse? Yes. Best Buy? ABSOLUTELY. You save me from dealing with my disability and with people. #tipperlife,” said another.
Instacart buyers shared their experiences ordering from Lowe’s.
“Me and my boyfriend got a Lowe’s order for two outdoor plants for a one-time fee of $60,” shared one person.
“Girl, I see! I just ordered a flask from Lowe’s. They went through it, I just know it,” wrote a second.
