A teacher has been horrified after being forced to empty a cobra from a student’s school bag in India.

Footage shows the man at Badoni School opening the backpack on Wednesday and dumping the dangerous snake along with all the other contents.

Student Uma Rajak had no idea the snake had slipped into her bag, and was unaware that it was even in it until she reached for her books.

The young girl and teacher were unharmed by the cobra, whose venom is powerful enough to kill up to 20 people with just one bite.

At one point, the snake looks like it’s ready to attack as soon as it emerges from the pocket.

Eventually, however, it slips away.

It wasn’t long ago that a long, slippery snake escaped here in the UK.

A python said to be 18 feet long was spotted on a road in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire, last month.

Images showed the bright snake moving across roof tiles and through an open window.

Horrified onlookers spotted it at 5.30am, before people inside the house started poking it with a broom.

The incident even led to a man calling for large snakes to be banned as pets in the UK.
