Incredible images show dolphins ‘flying’ off the Yorkshire coast.

Spectacular photos have captured dolphins appearing to ‘fly’ out of the waters off the Yorkshire coast.
Andrew Cottrell spotted a group of 20 bottlenose dolphins while walking on the beach at Hunmanby Gap in Filey.
The animals were about 1 km from the shore and jumped out of the waves.
Andrew called the sight “unusual” and said the animals “seemed to be having fun” as they jumped up to 3 meters high.
The animals generally weigh around 500 kg.
Although they can be seen off the Yorkshire coast later in the year, it is highly unusual for them to be sighted in winter.
Andrew retired to the Filey area in November 2022 and said he loves “its beauty, the wildlife and the people.”
