In-N-Out Staff Stops Drunk Drivers From Leaving Viral TikTok

Employees at a Burger In-N-Out in Texas received praise online for trying to stop a pair of apparently drunk drivers from leaving their parking lot.

A video of the incident, posted to TikTok by Joshua Kramer (@gemini_josh), shows the allegedly drunk couple – a man and a woman – sitting in the front seat of a black van. TikTok has received more than 760,000 since it was posted on December 29.

It is unclear where the couple originally parked the car. But Kramer, who narrated the video, said the man driving was “obviously under the influence of something.” At one point in the video, the couple moves their car so that it blocks the driveway through the exit.

When it seems the couple wants to leave, various In-N-Out employees try to prevent them from doing so. At one point, the woman in the passenger seat was talking harshly with one of the workers.

Then, after driving around the property, the woman got out of her car and tried to move the cones near the driveway entrance, where several cars were lined up. In the background, Kramer is heard shouting, “That’s not an exit!”

Kramer Posted a follow up video shows the couple driving away without their headlights on. While the officers called the police at the beginning of the incident, TikToker explained that they never showed up.

However, commenters praised the In-N-Out workers for at least trying to keep the pair out of sugar. Others criticized law enforcement for not coming to help.

“Good handling. Thanks for calling. You have the power to prevent them from making worse mistakes…” said one TikToker.

“There are many cases where you don’t need to call the police. YOU SHOULD ALWAYS CALL THE DRIVER; they made that decision, they can kill someone,” another viewer wrote.

“Just trying to save lives, well done! The police are always too busy when necessary,” a third said.

Daily Dot reached out to Kramer via TikTok comment and Instagram DM. We also contacted In-N-Out through their website.
