KIM Kardashian’s hairstylist has opened up about the $28 spray he uses to waterproof her hair — and you can too with these simple tips.

During Chris Appleton’s appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show on March 29, the renowned British hairstylist explained how one product helps prevent frost and create a “glass hair” or “liquid hair” look.

Speaking to actress and talk show host Drew Barrymore, Appleton described the spray as “a transformative prep for hair.”

He explained: “You apply it to wet hair and it basically changes the entire texture of the hair once it dries.

“It also has waterproof technology, meaning a seal against water or moisture.

“Everyone knows that’s the worst thing … you do your hair, you go outside and the weather changes it.”

The product he’s talking about — which he calls his “go-to” for the “glass hair” look, is Color Wow Hair’s Dream Coat Anti-Frizz Treatment.

Before Appleton discussed the product, Barrymore said the “glass look” is “something that everyone is obsessed with — and you really started with Kim K.”

He also advises people getting their hair done to have photos of what they plan to do.

Appleton told Barrymore he always asks his clients, “Who do you want to be? … because everything tells a story.”

Dye wow hair

Color Wow describes the product as “No. 1 anti-frizz, moisture-resistant seal that lasts for days”.

The $28 spray uses “breakthrough moisture-blocking technology that prevents moisture from ruining your style” and “leaves hair super shiny, glassy and ultra-smooth,” according to Color Wow.

If you have purchased this product the spray should be used after shampooing, conditioning and towel drying your hair.

After towel-drying, part hair into sections and “spray generously and evenly onto damp (not wet) hair,” the company explains on its website.

It adds: “Do not apply other styling products while hair is wet.

“You can apply styling products after you finish the Dream Coat blow-dry.”

Finally, a “blow-dry with excitement” is required to activate the product.

In a video tutorial about the spray, Appleton advises anyone using the product to saturate hair.

Appleton explains, “You really can’t use too much. It’s not heavy or greasy at all.

“It’s as light as water so you don’t weigh the hair down.

“And I tend to find that the more you wear, the better.”

In the Q&A section of Color Wow’s website, the company suggests that using a flat iron after blow-drying “improves the shine of your hair.”

It adds, “For the 3 to 4 days following your Dream Coat treatment, you can air dry, then straighten and still get the same results.”

Earlier this week, celebrity hairstylist Appleton shared some snaps of Kim’s snake sexiness and posted a video of the process of transforming the Kardashians’ star hair.

Appleton captioned his post: “Still one of my favorite hair moments with Kim. Check out the last slide to see how I did this snake/animal print on Kim’s hair.”
