The BIRTH of a baby is both the most exciting and the most frightening moment in every woman’s life.
Therefore, it is important to have a supportive partner who will offer support and words of wisdom throughout the process.
But one labor and delivery nurse has shared how some men can actually be quite a hindrance during labor – all thanks to the unhelpful comments that leave their mouths.
Katie, who posts under the acronym @_mauiwowie, took to TikTok and shared a video that revealed some of the worst things dads had said to her as a midwife and midwife.
In the clip, she first reveals that one of the most popular questions she’s asked is “when is the doctor coming?”
She went on to ask another common WiFi password question.
And finally, perhaps worst of all, “How long is this going to take?”
Katie captioned the post: “Dads have the absolute audacity.”
The post has since garnered over 384,000 views and has been inundated with comments from shocked social media users.
“My favorite is that they’re tired,” wrote one.
A second quipped: “Divorce babes get divorced.”
A third remarked, “Not the wifi password!”
Meanwhile, a fourth commented: “I would divorce / break up with him right away and tell him to go home.”
Elsewhere, mothers from above and below shared some of the shocking revelations their partners made during labour.
“My ex was so tired after the birth of our last child, thank goodness,” one recalled.
A second added: “My husband joked he was cool because he saw so many cows giving birth. It’s funny now lol.”
