I’m an etiquette coach – three things you should never do when shopping

An etiquette coach revealed three things you should never do when shopping for clothes.
Maria Liassides, a London-based etiquette trainer, used TikTok to promote good manners and share tips for anyone looking to buy new clothes or shoes.

According to the TikTok user, people should never try on shoes without socks, never make phone calls while shopping, and never leave an item in the wrong place.
Maria, who also offers various other types of etiquette tips on her page, advises shoppers in one of her videos to put their phones on silent while shopping in stores.
In the short video clip, Maria pretends to be talking on her phone in a store, prompting a nearby shopper to appear annoyed.
The solution seems simple as it suggests people mute their phones and keep them in their pockets or purses.

In another Store Edition etiquette video shared by Maria on TikTok, the well-behaved woman advises people to wear clean socks to the store.
She suggests shoppers put on a clean pair before putting their feet in a new shoe.
Finally, in a 17-second video, Maria is shown picking up a jacket in one part of the store and discarding another piece of clothing where it doesn’t belong.
“If you change your mind, put the item back in its place,” she explains in overlay as she leads a black puffy jacket to a shelf of identical jackets.
In response to the video about putting items back where they belong, one TikTok user commented, “I always put items back in the right place AND in the right order.”
Another said: “I always do this and get my kids to do it too. It’s just right.”
A third commented: “I’m guilty at times but I appreciate how soul crushing this must be for shop workers on a daily basis. It’s a lack of respect in a way.”
Among other things, Maria reveals how to eat bruschetta, what to do with coffee foam, how to hold your glass of wine and what to do with your napkin.
Meanwhile, elegant expert Amira Bessette took to TikTok to share some staples that will make you look like a million bucks without spending $100.
Presenting a large amount of items from stores like Shein, H&M and Zara, Amira shows us how to present more elegantly.
And another TikTok revealed her reason for washing new clothes before wearing them.
In a now-deleted TikTok archived on YouTube, a former clerk at a major American department store says, “Anytime you buy clothes from any store, wash them as soon as you get home. Wash them in hot water.”
