Nutritionist Leah Kern lists seven of her best healthy and filling snacks from Trader Joe’s.

Kern told Insider that she recommends Cliff bars or to-go smoothies for a quick snack.

Another simple yet nutritious on-the-go snack is crackers with cheese, salami, and apples. This combination is perfect for those who want something sweet and salty.

“From a diet perspective, this snack contains carbs (crackers), protein and fat (salami and cheese), and some fiber (apple). Because this snack has all the macronutrients, it’s a great grab-and-go option when you’re feeling hungry between meal strikes,” Insider reported.

A combination of fruit leather and nut is a great way to optimize your energy.

Kern told Insider that she mainly eats this snack during summer hikes.

“The fat and protein from the nuts help slow the absorption of the sugars from the fruit leather into the bloodstream, leading to more sustained energy and satiety,” Insider reported.

For those who are allergic to nuts, the fruit leather itself is also healthy and provides the body with a source of carbohydrates.

For those with a sweet tooth, Kern told Insider that she recommends rice cakes, cocoa spread, and a banana from Trader Joe’s.

“I love topping a rice cake with cocoa and almond topping and topping it with sliced bananas,” Insider says.

From a healthy perspective, the rice cakes serve as a source of carbohydrates, healthy fat comes from the cocoa spread, and the banana slices are a source of fiber.

As an additional source of protein, customers could eat the sweet snack with a glass of milk.

Combining chocolate with walnuts and a glass of milk can also be a nutritious snack.

“Chocolate chips are a source of simple carbohydrates (in the form of sugar) and walnuts provide protein and fat,” Insider reported.

Kern told Insider the snack could also stabilize your blood sugar and keep you energized and satisfied for longer.

Trader Joe’s Greek Yogurt can be used as a dip for chips or veggies.

“I love the variety of flavors and textures with the refreshing and crunchy veggies and the contrast between the cooling yogurt dip and the flavorful chips,” Insider said.

From a healthy perspective, chips can be a source of carbohydrates, the veggies a source of fiber, and the dip a source of fat.

However, the snack is low in protein, so it may not keep you energized for long. I’m an employee of Ex-Trader Joe – I buy my seven favorite snacks there when I’m hungry but don’t have time
