NO ONE wants to intentionally look like they are wearing cheaper clothes than anyone else.
Those who care about looking like chic individuals make sure they skip style mistakes that don’t embody true elegance.
TikToker and style expert Level Blue have uploaded a video that breaks down 10 common style mistakes elegant women should never make.
According to her, wearing crop tops is one of the biggest mistakes one can make when trying to blend into high society.
Her second tip is to avoid ripped jeans if you want to send the message that you’re from old money.
Tip number three is to turn your back on counterfeit designer bags with well-known logos.
Next, Level Blue says stiletto heels are a total no-no, with their sample image zoomed in on a bright red pair.
Her fifth tip is to avoid revealing clothing that shows a little too much skin.
Tip number six is to leave your gym clothes at home when you’re not going to a workout or fitness class.
According to Level Blue, wearing cheap casual t-shirts in everyday life is a big mistake for those who want to look classy and expensive.
Additionally, she says wearing clothes with cartoon prints is another style mistake to avoid.
Her ninth tip is to avoid super-long, overly embellished acrylic nails the next time you visit the salon.
The tenth and final tip from Level Blue is to keep grunge-style clothes in the ’90s.
Although over 385,600 people have approvingly liked her video, some people don’t entirely agree with everything she mentioned.
For example, one person wrote: “No. My crop tops stay, even if I’m not elegant.”
Another person said: “Revealing clothes can be elegant for me. This is only YOUR personal opinion. So you don’t have to pretend you’re right and everyone else is wrong.”
Someone argued, “Being smart has nothing to do with what you wear, it’s about how you treat yourself and your outfit. It’s about your etiquette and posture.”
A fourth person said, “Sorry, but crop tops, ripped jeans, simple shirts and cartoon prints are my style!”
Someone else in the comments section jumped to her defense, saying, “You have a great list! Don’t worry about angry people in the comments. They just don’t like being called out.”
Another person said: “This video doesn’t say to throw away everything because it’s not ladylike. The video says if you want to appear elegant, then avoid wearing these things.”
