There are an estimated 1.5 billion active Gmail accounts online.
Many people have multiple accounts to split work and personal email — but a TikTok hack can allow you to get more use out of just one account.
“Your Gmail account has unlimited variations,” the video reads.
Just add a “+” and a word before “@gmail.com” to your Gmail address, and Google will route all emails to the same inbox.

Gmail effectively ignores what comes after the “+” in an email address, giving you an organizational tool for when you need to share your email.
“Suppose you register for a new online service. Instead of using your original Gmail address, add a plus and the name of the service you use for their website as an alias,” advises TikTok.
Spam emails contain your new, slightly modified email address in the digital signature.
That way, “you know exactly who is selling your data and who you cannot trust with your personal information.”
The “+” hack also works for Outlook and iCloud email accounts.
There’s a useful trick to finding emails in a cluttered inbox – look for your alias account and all associated emails will appear.

Inboxes get crowded quickly—we all have a friend whose desktop is cluttered with tens of thousands of emails.
Keep your inbox organized and clean with the Plus tool.
