WE’VE ALL heard that “happy wife, happy life” is the secret to a successful relationship — but this stay-at-home friend took the cookie.
Leaha Ureel, 22, keeps her partner Alan, 23, on a tight leash and has a strict list of demands her lover must follow.
The lady of luxury met her lover when they were both young, before briefly separating when their relationship was going through a rough patch.
But smitten Alan “rose to his standards” and won Leaha back – after agreeing to go by her radical rules.
The 22-year-old from Michigan, USA, expects her now-husband to take her on big dates at least twice a week.
And his work doesn’t stop there – contractor Alan has to pull up her chair, pour her wine AND pay the bill every time.
Leaha also pays close attention to his table manners when she’s away – because not tipping the waiter, commenting on prices and underdressing are big no-gos.
She told HullLive: “Alan and I first met when we were young and then I realized I wanted to be taken care of.
“Alan couldn’t take care of me so we broke up.
“But a few months later we got back together and he promised to take care of me.
“He’s stepped up – now he arranges and takes me on dates at least twice a week.
“He always pays and pulls out my chair for me. I love to cook and we go for coffee together.
“He does it without asking. He’s a real gentleman.”
Leaha explained that she realized she didn’t want to spend her life working after college and getting a job as a waitress at a restaurant.
She said she wanted “me time” and a partner to take care of her – upon seeing Alan start a home renovation business.
The dedicated husband is now fully supporting Leaha financially and is working to give her the lifestyle she has wanted so badly.
The beaming housewife continued: “Now I walk the dogs and spend a lot of time cooking.
“We can travel and Alan is flexible with his work so we can go out for coffee during the day.
“I like it when he takes the initiative and books a restaurant for a meal or chooses what we do.
“I love being a housewife and I want others to know that it’s okay to pursue that lifestyle. It’s like being a stay-at-home mom without the kids.”
Though she now has a ring on her finger, Leaha says she would never date anyone who doesn’t follow her orders.
She added: “I hate it when they reschedule or comment on prices at the last minute. I am not ashamed to be a housewife.”
