STARBUCKS employees bicker on TikTok about how to make some of the most popular drinks.
A Starbucks barista got other employees upset after posting on TikTok that he hadn’t known vanilla syrup didn’t go into sweet nitro cream.
The video was posted by @captainxhen in May. It has garnered over 20,000 likes as baristas from around the world compare recipes in the comments.
One user wrote, “Me when I was never told to add classic strawberry and matcha frappés.”
Many users commented that they had no idea matcha soda got water.
One customer commented, “These comments just answered my question as to why my coffee never tastes the same.”
Another user claimed it wasn’t their fault because they weren’t properly trained, and neither were the people who trained them.
If you like your drinks a certain way, you can recreate them at home.
A savvy customer learned how to make her favorite beverages at home to save money.
The viral TikTok video sparked a flood of comments across the internet asking how they could replicate their setup.
TikTok user @cosettecutie’s mini-home Starbucks setup includes appliances and syrups to help her make the drinks at home.
The video has a text overlay that reads, “Pov: You built yourself a mini Starbucks and now you’ll never have to pay $7 for a drink again.”
The content creator captioned the video, “This is your sign to learn how to make your Starbucks order at home!!!” thus encouraging others to create their own Starbucks at home.
For those who are a little more picky about their favorite Starbucks drink, one employee suggested making specific requests with each order.
In a Reddit thread full of fast food employee secrets, a Starbucks employee wrote, “The best drink you can get when you want something cheap is iced coffee.”
They explained that you can add as many syrup pumps as you want for free.
Plus, apparently, you can make it taste better than all the lattes on the menu, according to the staff member.
Also, the barista gave an extra tip for those who love strong coffee but still want to save some change.
“Also ask for steamed iced coffee if our coffee is too weak,” they wrote.
In other Starbucks tips, an employee shared the secret hack that gets you half-price ice cream lattes every time.
Apparently, you can order a Doppio espresso over ice and then add the milk yourself for a $1.95 ice latte, Eat This reported.
