WHEN it comes to cleaning your home, you want to get on top of things before it quickly becomes an overwhelming mess.
Routine expert Hope Watson posted a video showing the three steps she takes every day to keep her home clean.

MAKE SMALL PILES
Watson’s first tip is to just “pick everything up.”
“If you see something that’s not where it should be, pick it up,” she said.
“Don’t worry about putting it where it should be now.”
“The idea is simply to get your space tidy without having to think about it too much.”


Next, she suggested making small piles to keep similar items together.
“Make a pile for your laundry, your dishes, your trash and really anything else that makes some kind of mess,” she explained.
This will help you sort each stack individually.
TO ORGANIZE
“If you haven’t put it away sooner, now is the time to start.”
Watson suggested using this step to further aid your cleaning by tossing in a load of laundry or tidying up your couch.
“Bring your space back to how you want it,” she said.
CLEAN
“I always start with vacuuming and dusting,” Watson revealed, as this is the step that can take the longest. It is also the one that will make you feel accomplished.
After getting those chores out of the way, she claimed that she cleaned up either the bathroom, shower, kitchen, or whatever else needed a refreshment.


“Consider this as the finishing touch to make your space not only look clean but feel clean too.”
Watson also suggested working room by room and playing music to make cleaning more fun.
