I’m a Prince Harry lookalike

A PRINCE Harry look-alike is expected to rake in over £5,000 over the course of the platinum anniversary.

Rhys Whittock, 38, learned he was a dead ringer for the red-haired king after guests at a dinner party marveled at the resemblance.

He went on to turn the resemblance into a lucrative career – realizing how lucrative his talent was when Harry and Meghan got engaged in 2017.

The look-alike, from Southwark, London, usually makes between £500 and £700 for every Prince Harry order – and has already bagged 12 events to mark the anniversary.

That means he’s likely to rake in over £5,000 during the celebrations – and while he’s a huge fan of the royals, he’ll have little time to celebrate than himself.

Rhys told My London: “I couldn’t ask for a better job. It’s the best job in the world.”

During busy times like preparing for the royal wedding in 2018, Rhys said he can work up to two jobs a day and finds times like this “very profitable”.

He explained that he uses a variety of looks including a gray suit, a blue suit and a replica of Harry’s military gear.

He managed to source the outfit – his most popular look – from a military surplus dealer and have replicas of the Prince’s Orders made.

Rhys said: “I went into a lot of detail to make it as accurate as possible.

“People love the military attire – it adds that extra bit of distinctiveness and is as identifiable as Prince Harry.”

In addition to his agents and self-promotion through his website and social media, Rhys now uses Airtasker, a local services marketplace, to promote his Jubilee entertainment skills.

The London native says he gets invited to parties, meets “amazing” people and travels the world to do it.

He also collaborates with other royal lookalikes to make the gigs more compelling.

Rhys recalled a time a woman saw him walking back alongside a look-alike of Prince William of Windsor and said: “She gasped and asked for a photograph.

“She was so excited we couldn’t bring ourselves to tell her we’re not her.

“She had come to Windsor for the day and gone home with a photograph of the princes to show her family. It made her day.”

As Meghan and Harry’s engagement dominated the news, Rhys began working with his new colleague – Meghan’s Manchester lookalike, Sarah Mhlanga.

He has since worked with other Meghan’s and will often join forces with Williams, Kates, Charles and the Queen.
