However, a pro has reached out to TikTok to share how to achieve the look with regular nail polish.

The woman applied a sheer base color – Sheer Fantasy by Essie – before applying a quick-drying top coat.

She then used OPI’s Chrome Effects powder in Tin Man Can and applied it with an eyeshadow brush to rub into the top coat.

To finish, she used a fanned makeup brush to dust off the excess before applying a final coat of top coat.

“How to use chrome powder with regular nail polish on natural nails,” she captioned her video.

She added in the comments that any chrome powder can be used, writing, “This one’s pretty hard to find at a reasonable price right now, but check Amazon for more options!”

“omg whattttttt,” one person commented on the video.

While another added: “So pretty.”

Someone else asked how long it lasted, and the nail pro replied, “I only wore it for 3 days before I took it off, but it wore perfectly!”

“Do you have to wait for the top coat to dry?” asked another person.

Which she said you do.

Not everyone was impressed with the video, however, as one wrote, “Isn’t this glazed donut trend just frosted nail polish from the 90’s/2000’s?”
