I’m a mother of five at 29 after having surprising quintuplets

A 29-year-old WOMAN immediately gave birth to five children after surprisingly having quintuplets.

Brenda Raymundo, from Texas, revealed she was shocked to learn she was expecting five children after undergoing fertility treatment.

The news also came as a surprise to staff, as there have only been five cases of quintuplets in the history of Brenda’s hospital, Parkland Memorial Hospital.

Their babies Amara, Humberto, Leilany, Antonio “Tony” and Alejandro “Alex” arrived on May 17 last year.

The tots spent a few weeks in incubators and were fed Brenda’s milk and some from donors.

Every day Brenda and her husband Alejandro Ibarra – both originally from Mexico – visited their babies and ended up taking them home one by one.

As of July 30, all five babies were safely home, and it’s safe to say the couple must have their hands full.

Still, Brenda told Dallas News, “I really think they’re quiet babies, they’re not hard work.”

She has also started her own TikTok account documenting her life as a mother of quintuplets and has amassed 250,000 followers and 3 million likes.

Thankfully, Brenda’s mother, María Acosta, 49, is on hand to help and two babies sleep with her and the other three sleep with Brenda and her husband.

All five tots, except Alex, fall asleep around 9pm and miraculously sleep until 10am the next morning.

Brenda said, “Yes, like any normal kid, they get annoyed when they’re hungry or tired, but I expected it to be more work.”

Grandma Maria says each baby has already developed their own personality, with Amara and Leilany being detail oriented and fond of books; Alex is more affectionate and likes to cuddle; Tony tends to start fights; and Humberto is the discoverer.

Papa Alejandro, who buys and sells used cars and metal independently, said: “This is a beautiful experience that I could never have imagined.

“It’s something very unexpected and difficult, and it’s getting harder.”

The family added that one of the biggest expenses with five children is diapers, and they are happy to accept donations.
