I’m a mom – my “summer clock” method means the kids are ALWAYS on time and it’s only $6

NOW summer is finally here, the kids are out of school and spending their days at home.
Without teachers and a set schedule, it can become overwhelming for parents trying to keep their children engaged, entertained, and on track.

A mom named McKinnley Matson, who goes by @mkmatson15 on TikTok, said she has the best hack for making sure her kids aren’t nervous or running all over the place on those summer afternoons.
She has created a “summer watch” that costs only $6 to make.
“First I broke our day into a schedule that would work for us, and then I turned it into a clock.”
She made time for lunch, housework, playtime and snacks, exercise, family time, morning and bedtime, study, activity, and snacks.

The parenting pro placed these slots in a circular pie chart — the same shape as a clock — with outlined times for each.
“Then I grabbed this $4 watch from Walmart and these $2 magnets,” she said, bringing the total spend to just $6.
She carefully disassembled the watch by removing the back.
“Then I removed the watch hands and battery pack from the back of the watch so I could access the face.
“And I also removed the glass from the faceplate so I could use it as a template to make sure my face was the right size.”
She aligned her pie chart summer schedule with the clock face, cut it out, and replaced the original clock with her summer schedule.
After gluing everything in place, she put the glass back on and reassembled the watch.
“I put the clock hands back on and screwed everything back together.”
After making sure it worked, she attached her magnet to the back of the clock with a hot glue gun, then glued it to the fridge.
