I’m a mom and I have the easiest trick for shopping with a hungry toddler

A woman on Instagram named Autumn Grace uses her super-active feed to share parenting tips with other curious people currently raising young children.

The bio on her profile says, “Just a first time mom sharing some hacks.”

Autumn posted a video simplifying the best way to take your toddler to the grocery store when they’re hungry.

The block of text in her video reads, “How to stop your toddler from throwing the snacks on the store floor.”

At the beginning of the video, her toddler is sitting in the front seat of a shopping cart.

She’s holding a bag of Cheerios and tossing them on the floor in handfuls.

Autumn then shows off a Cheerio bracelet that she makes for her daughter using a simple piece of string or dental floss.

Your daughter can wear the Cheerio bracelet on her wrist while she spends time at the grocery store to avoid a big mess in the aisles.

Autumn considers this one of the best things she knew as a first-time mom.

Her video has been criticized by people who don’t think the Cheerio bracelet is completely hygienic.

Someone commented, “This is gross… If your kid puts their hands on the cart, the cart is dirty so the snack will be dirty too.”

Another person wrote: “Unhygienic but OK.”

Other people criticize this hack as pointless or unnecessary.

One person asked, “Who the heck has time to thread snacks onto string?”

Another person wrote directly, “Just don’t give them snacks at the store.”

Other people seem totally impressed despite some criticisms.

One man wrote: “As a stay at home dad I’m glad you took us in.”

He’s responding to the fact that her hack is something that both moms and dads can use.
