PAN SPLASH
To keep your frying pan from splattering while cooking, Dan said you should sprinkle a little salt on the pan.
According to Cooking Tips, “Salt helps absorb any remaining water or moisture, reducing or eliminating spills.”
COOKING RICE
“When you cook rice, add a few drops of lemon juice,” he said.
“It will keep all grains separate.”

MEASURE SHORTENING
If you’re measuring butterfat, Dan said you should dip your spoon in hot water first.
After scooping up the fat with the hot spoon, he said, it will fall off immediately.
CUT ONIONS
If you’re the type of person who cries while cutting onions, Dan has a great tip for keeping the waterworks away.
“Cut off the root end last,” he said.
Onions-usa.org reported that the root of the onion is “where the highest concentration of sulfur compounds is (which makes you cry)”.
“Leaving intact means fewer tears when chopping!”
NEW PAN
Next, Dan said if you take home a new skillet from the store, you should boil vinegar in it first.
“It will prevent food from sticking,” he said.

MUFFIN PAN
To easily lift muffins out of their baking pan, the home cook said to place the pan on a wet towel as soon as you take them out of the oven.
Viewers loved his kitchen tricks, saying, “Those are some good ones” and “Thanks for the tips…good to know.”
