I’m a gardening expert – the easy way to kill moss from your driveway with this household item for just 60p

DRIVEWAYS are often home to patches of moss that make them look untidy.
If left uncared for, moss can take over your entire driveway as asphalt provides the perfect environment for it to thrive.

Luckily, a gardening expert has pointed out the easy way to remove moss and kill it for good.
Asphalt’s rough surface collects and retains water more than other materials, making it the ideal breeding ground for moss, which needs a moist environment to grow.
As unsightly as it looks, moss can actually be very dangerous, making a seat slippery in wet weather.
So if you’re interested in knowing how to get rid of the dangerous fungus, you’ll be pleased to know that there are two methods you can use and you probably already have them at home, reports the Express.

Vinegar is a great way to remove moss and is only 60p from Tesco.
Mix 1 tablespoon of distilled vinegar with water and place in a spray bottle.
Then spray the moss with the solution daily until the moss dies. If it doesn’t work, add more vinegar to your solution.
Once the moss has died, use a stiff-bristled brush to sweep up the remains.
You can also drive away moss with detergent by sprinkling organic washing powder over the moss.
It’s best to do this on a day when it rains as this will kill the moss, but if there is no moss you can find your own solution.
Mix detergent and water and pour over the moss.
Once the moss has turned brown (an indicator it’s dead), you can sweep it away with a stiff-bristled brush.
