If your weed isn’t getting the water and nutrients it needs, it can turn yellow and strawy.

Pro Lawn Care Expert and Director of TotalLawn, Carlos Real, shared his top tips on getting your lawn looking green and healthy in no time.

Experts advise doing this in the morning rather than when the sun is at its hottest – so the water doesn’t just evaporate.

The best way to avoid this is to water before and after you fertilize the lawn.

He also said that while we all love the fluffy scamps, having a pet can have a negative impact on your yard.

He explained that a pet’s urine can be so acidic that it can completely erase a patch of your lawn.

Carlos advised that pets are trained to go to the bathroom in a specific spot in the yard, and that shouldn’t be on the lawn.

To keep your lawn from getting damaged, he suggested slapping some seaweed on the grass every few weeks to help it recover from the stresses of the garden.

He also warned against spilling gasoline on your lawn as it is so toxic it is a death sentence for all plants.
