A TIKTOKER has urged iPhone owners to make a simple change to their device to stop apps from tracking you.
Tracking is used by app makers for a number of things, but typically it helps them target you with advertisements so they can make money.
Apple is pretty good at preventing apps from doing so, making it a requirement to ask your permission first.
But it can be easy to forget what you agreed to.
In addition, some apps only work fully if you have tracking enabled.
You might be surprised to see how many apps have allowed them to track you over the years.
“If you have an iPhone, you have to try this,” TikToker Chillrogg told its 635,000 followers.
“This will prevent companies from tracking your personal information.”
All you have to do is walk settings menu and find privacy.
From there you will see persecution.
Tap on that and you’ll see a whole list of apps that currently have permission to track you.
Kill each one to block their tracking ability.
While you’re here, it’s also worth paying attention to Allow apps to request tracking is switched on.
This at least gives you a hint if an app wants to track your activities instead of allowing them to proceed without your knowledge.
