In a recent video on her YouTube channel, Do It On a Dime, Kathryn spotlights several cheap Dollar Tree purchases and shows how she makes them look more expensive.

The first items she shows her followers are organizational bins with clear lids that snap shut without coming off.

Her upgrade to the organizational bins involves using an iron to attach sticker labels she ordered from Etsy to the front of each bin.

The second two items she bought from Dollar Tree can be combined together for a stunning end result.

The upgrade she makes to these items is to tie two plastic garden fences together before attaching the wreath to the front.

The next items Kathryn shows her followers are the Dollar Tree suction cups, which come in white color.

Her way of making the suction cups look more expensive is to hang flower-filled planters on windows or glass doors.

The following items she draws viewers’ attention to are the wooden crates and slats available at Dollar Tree.

She customizes the pieces of wood by painting them dark blue and gluing them together in a shelf formation for storing tea bags.

Another item Kathryn talks about is the patterned fabrics that are sold in the store.

The fabrics get a nice boost when she hot glues the edges together, turning the material inside out and adding fluff from old pillows to create new pillows.

Finally, she shows her followers small carpet squares with fringes.

To make them look more expensive, she modifies them to serve as organizational baskets perfect for storing towels and plants.

Kathryn’s video is filled with several other items and upgrades.

The people in her comments section seem to really love her creativity and her ideas.
