In a video, he shares his savvy advice on how to fall asleep in no time.

He suggested massaging the inside of your wrist, where your pulse is two to three minutes long, when you’re trying to fall asleep.

He posted the lifehack in a recent TikTok video that has now been viewed by more than 200,000 people.

He said, “All you have to do is rub that spot on your wrist for two to three minutes.”

The doctor demonstrated his technique by placing two fingers on his wrist and moving them in a circular motion.

Speaking on TikTok, Nick Vitello explained: “Here’s what to do when you’re super tired but only have 8 minutes.

“Get on the floor and put your feet like this on your bed, or something high, anything.”

He then showed himself lying on the floor with his legs at a 90 degree angle on the bed.

“Set a timer for eight minutes and have the best nap of your life,” he promised.

“It’s a Navy SEAL trick and it works!”

Since he posted his video, it has been viewed nearly 19 million times.

But many people in the comments insisted it took them longer than the allotted eight minutes just to fall asleep.

“My overactive brain would step in and think about I only have 8 minutes does this really work how does this work…” one person wrote.

While another added: “It takes me 4 hours to fall asleep lol.”

And a third wrote: “It takes me about 2-3 hours plus comfortable clothes, a fan and blankets to fall asleep.”

“I would be too worried about not waking up in 8 minutes to fall asleep in 8 minutes,” agreed another.

Another wrote: “I could be up a year and it would still take me over an hour to fall asleep but I think I’ll try tomorrow.”

But what do the experts think?

Dreams Sleep Expert Sammy Margo said, “Acupressure is a traditional Chinese medicine practice based on the idea that a blockage or disruption in the flow of the body’s vital energy can cause health problems.

“It’s similar to acupuncture but without ever going beyond the surface of the skin.

“Rather than using needles to reset pressure points, acupressure is about massaging the same pressure points without intervention.

“How your body responds to acupressure depends on the pressure points you focus on.

“It can contribute to a restful sleep overall, definitely worth trying but may not be for everyone.” I’m a doctor – how to fall asleep in two minutes every night by massaging a specific part of your body
