In one of his most popular videos, with 152,000 likes, the self-proclaimed cleaning freak, whose real name is Brandon Pleshek, teaches his followers how to properly clean their fans – with pillowcases.

The first step is to place the case on the fan blades, he says.

Make sure it’s tight.

Then slowly pull off the case while the dust falls inside.

“Shake it outside and throw in the laundry with cleaning rags,” the cleaning expert said in the comments.

“We have a special pillowcase for cleaning.”

Fans raved about the hack in the comments.

“That’s pretty brilliant,” said one.

“I’ll do that from now on!”

“You’re a genius!” said another.

“I keep glancing at my ceiling fan in the bedroom and wondering why I dusted and vacuumed it without turning the fan on first!”

“After that…wash the pillowcase for 3 hours,” joked a third person.

Taste of Home has compiled a variety of TikToker’s popular hacks.

One was to take equal parts baking soda and hydrogen peroxide for a DIY grout cleaner.

Another was to use a damp towel to get rid of furniture marks in the carpet.

Place the towel over the indentation and steam with an iron for 10 to 15 seconds.

Then remove the cloth and clean the spot with a fork, he said.

He recommended checking your couch’s label for its clean code.

There should be an “S”, “W” or “SW”. The “S” means that the furniture can only be dry cleaned.

The “W” means you can wash it. The “SW” means you can do both.

Finally, a pumice stone, a porous gray material, can be particularly good at removing water stains from toilets.

All you have to do is wet them, scrub the stain and flush the toilet.

“It looks like new,” Pleshek said after scrubbing.

To clean the stone, Pleshek said to spray it with bathroom disinfectant.
