Of course, there’s nothing worse than pulling the clean glasses out of the dishwasher and realizing that they look frosted.
Soap can often leave stains and stains on glasses and cutlery, but there’s no need to spend money on expensive solutions.
Cleaning pro Kirsty posted her genius trick on TikTok and captioned the video, “How to get your dishwasher to give you the shiniest glasses.”
According to the pro, all you have to do is take a piece of aluminum foil, ball it up and toss it in.

Kirsty didn’t use much aluminum foil, about the size of an A4 sheet of paper.
Simply place the crumpled aluminum foil on the rack along with your glasses and cutlery for sparkling results.
The trick works so well because the aluminum from the foil and the soapy water ionizes any other metals that are in the water.
This means no dirty soapy or limescale stains left on your glasses or cutlery.
Kirsty added that you can reuse the same ball of tinfoil “until it looks dull.”
Other avid cleaners couldn’t believe how effective the cleaning hack was.
One said, “I’m trying to do that with the dishwasher at work!”
Another quipped: “I’ll try I guess.”
