Moths are one of the most annoying insects to deal with.
They can quickly and quietly wreak havoc in your home, destroying clothing and furniture.
If you’re suffering from an annoying moth infestation, you’re not alone.
FantasticPestControl says around 1.5 million UK households are dealing with moth infestations.
Luckily, there’s a way to get rid of them before they stink completely devastatingly.
Medical News Today revealed a simple trick to banish moths for good.
They revealed: “White vinegar is a natural cleaning agent that changes the pH of surfaces it touches.
“Moth eggs and larvae exposed to white vinegar cannot survive in the acidic environment.”
The trick is pretty handy considering most households will already have a supply of white vinegar in their kitchen.
Even if you don’t, you can pick up a bottle of the seasoning and cleaning product for less than a pound at most stores.
The trick works so well because the liquid is highly acidic, and simply put, moths and their larvae cannot survive in this environment.
However, using white vinegar alone is too strong, so always dilute it with a little water for best results.
The pros said, “Be careful when using white vinegar at home as it can damage certain surfaces like metals, stone countertops and hardwood floors.”
Simply wipe down surfaces with the mixture, and don’t forget about hangers and drawers where moths may lurk.
