I’m a cleaning expert – how to fake a clean and tidy home when you’re in a hurry

There is nothing quite like spending time in a fresh, tidy home.
While we all want our spaces to look good, most of us don’t have the time to do a thorough cleaning.

An organizer and DIY pro named Caroline Solomon, known on TikTok as @neat.caroline, shared her tricks for getting a home looking sparkling in minutes.
It’s great when you’re pressed for time.
THE LIVING ROOM
The living room is the first thing you and your guests see when you enter, so it’s important to make it feel inviting.
A messy couch never looks good.

“Flood your pillows,” Caroline advised as Karate chopped her into shape.
As for the coffee table, use an all-purpose cleaner to remove the stains and fingerprints from its surface.
“Tidy up your coffee table books,” she added.
THE KITCHEN
Next, Caroline moved on to the most used – and often dirtiest – room in the house: the kitchen.
To change the greasy appearance of your oven door, spray equal parts water and vinegar on the surface and rub over it with a microfiber cleaning cloth.
She said it’s a “bonus” if you also switch out your tea towels so fresh, clean ones are hanging on the rack.
BATHROOM
Then she tackled the space most people dread cleaning: the bathroom.
“Wipe mirrors with vinegar and water,” she said.
Make sure to straighten your towels too so they don’t look so messy.
BEDROOM
And finally Caroline finished the bedroom.

First things first, no room will look tidy with a unkempt bed – so try to make it up to them as soon as possible.
And all the clothes lying on the floor? It’s time to just toss them in the basket. Out of sight out of mind.
