Luckily, a professional bra fitter named Nicola Crook has taken to TikTok to reveal the very simple way anyone can find out their correct bra size at home.
In the video, she can be seen holding an unpadded bra and begins, “When it comes to measuring bra sizes, you can measure in a top like this, or something like that ideally…never something that’s padded.” Style.”
She continues, “You’re going to take two measurements — the first measurement you want to take is around your rib cage, just under your breast.”
So my measurement here is 29 inches – and then you want to take the measurement around the fullest part of your chest.
You might need someone to help you with that — and mine is 35.”
You take that measurement as accurately as you can.”

She goes on to explain that once you have those two measurements, subtract the 35 from the 29, giving you 6 inches.
“To calculate cup size — I’ll make a chart below — but it’s A, B, C, D, DD, E, or DDD if you’re from the US,” she continues.
“So I would start with a 30DDD or E and see how they fit and how it works from there.”
The post has since garnered an impressive 351,000 views and has been inundated with comments from grateful women.
“Thanks for that. I need new ones while on my weight loss journey for surgery,” gushed one.
A second praised: “The best video so far, slow and informative, does not leave you in the dark.”
A third wrote: “OMG every time I tell a woman this is the right way to measure she tells me I’m crazy. Watch out, ladies.”
Another wrote: “That’s helpful thanks.”
Meanwhile, another added: “Thank you girls.”
And another social media user commented, “I needed this badly… thanks.”
