I’m a Bojangles fan and was forced to recreate the recipe for a discontinued favorite

A BOJANGLES fan shares their recreation of a set favorite menu item – and it only took five ingredients.

TikToker Carlena Davis, who uses the handle @spilling_the_sweet_tea, revealed the recipe in a video that has been viewed more than 72,000 times.

Davis, who lives in Maryland but grew up in North Carolina, made an appeal to the popular Southern fast-food chain.

She captioned the video: “@bojangles you have 48 hours to respond.”

“Bojangles, please hear me and hear me clearly,” she begins the video.

“Please put these cinnamon rolls back on your menu in all places.”

Davis laments that the only way she can get the cinnamon rolls is if she goes home to North Carolina.

She recreates the menu item with canned cookie dough, pecans, cinnamon sugar, butter, and frosting.

“I have to admit, I really hit that pecan filling because it really tasted like you guys,” she says while doing the twists.

Davis states that while her twisting technique isn’t as good as the chain’s, her cinnamon-sugar-butter topping “was a hit.”

She ends the video by saying that hers turned out great, but would still like to see the chain add the item back to their menu.

Davis received great feedback on her video, with a handful of TikTokers commenting on how delicious the twists look.

But some had no idea what Davis was talking about.

“In SC and have never seen these at our local bojangles,” someone wrote.

“In Tennessee, we don’t have these or the cinnamon cookies,” said another user.

“I’m from NJ and I have no idea what Bojangles is but they look so good!!” said another.

Davis replied, “It’s a chicken place down south! They have great breakfast cookies.”
